WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BECOMING AN OFFICIAL CERTIFIED SUPERVISOR?

To have the exclusive rights to use all of the material in Step One of the "Foundational Phonics" curriculum to privately teach students in the community on a voluntary basis or to teach students for a fee, you must be registered with The USA Reading School as an official certified supervisor.

To receive personal help and support by email and phone from the The USA Reading School Staff relating to questions and suggestions about the most successful way to teach Step One of our "Foundational Phonics" curriculum, you must be registered with The USA Reading School as an official certified supervisor.

The supervisors are expected to be strong examples for the students in attitude and in a willingness to equally display with excellence the roles of teacher and friend. Mutual accountability creates a quality relationship between the supervisor and the student that produces the targeted result designated by the authors in the original creation of this foundational phonics course.

Just as you would not allow someone you had never met before to drive your child across the country in your car without first making sure that the person had sufficient knowledge in how to operate your vehicle, so it is with our free phonics classes for students. Once the material in this program has been presented correctly by the supervisor and the student has increased in self-esteem and in the ability to read, then the trip the student will be taking by being able to read with ease and comprehension will be for the rest of his or her lifetime.

So after eight years and thirty-thousand students we have seen first hand the importance of having a supervisor who is not only dedicated but can present every concept and detail in the daily lessons in a way that causes each student to absorb the knowledge and to build that invincible foundation needed to make reading an adventure.

The responsibility of the supervisor is to be the bridge between the day when the student only saw lines and symbols on paper to the day when the student can decode every group of letters into words that have sound and meaning. We truly hope all students in our free online reading program are taught by highly qualified supervisors who are armed with the ability to pronounce all of the alphabet sounds phonetically and the talent to encourage the student to be challenged by testing, reinforcement and drill.

In order for a supervisor to match up to these types of expectations, we have carefully designed a concise certification class that will guarantee the student receives every benefit possible in succeeding, because the supervisor has displayed the proper teaching standards as set forth by the authors of this online program.

Because our main concern is that each student gains the most knowledge possible in how to read correctly by following our classes, becoming a certified supervisor shows us that you are serious about teaching children and adults the value of the importance of learning how to read.

ALL SUPERVISORS WISHING TO BECOME CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE ONE INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP CLASS AS TAUGHT BY THE FOUNDERS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF FOUNDATIONAL PHONICS AND AUTHORS OF THE "FOUNDATIONAL PHONICS" CURRICULUM. The STEP ONE TRAINING CLASS BY PHONE is TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS for personal instructions in how to teach the Step One part of this online program. One class is required. Classes are normally about forty minutes.

TO SIGN UP FOR THE SUPERVISOR TRAINING CLASS CERTIFICATION AS AN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF FOUNDATIONAL PHONICS SUPERVISOR AND INSTRUCTOR WHICH WILL PREPARE YOU TO BEGIN TEACHING STUDENTS IN YOUR FAMILY, IN A VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY PROGRAM OR FOR A FEE , FOLLOW ALL OF THE DIRECTIONS BELOW BEFORE MAILING YOUR REQUEST FOR CERTIFICATION:

Print the full name of the student's supervisor at the top of a standard piece of notebook paper or typing paper.

Neatly print your email address in the middle of the same paper used to complete the request in ( "A." ).

In a sealed, standard size envelope include the paper with the information requested in ( "A." ) and ( "B." ) along with a MONEY ORDER from The U.S. Post Office, an F.D.I.C Bank or an established company like American Express etc. for the amount of TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS made out to BILL or JANAE COOKSEY.
If you send the amount in a personal or company check, it will not be accepted as payment for the Step One telephone training class. ONLY money orders will be accepted as official payment for the Step One certification.
